Marshall Shelley

Marshall is author of several books, including The Consumer Church: Can Evangelicals Win the World Without Losing Their Soul, (InterVarsity Press), which he co-authored with his father, church historian Bruce Shelley, and The Leadership Secrets of Billy Graham (Zondervan, 2006), which he co-authored with Harold Myra.
Marshall grew up in Denver, Colorado, and earned his journalism degree from Bethel College in Minnesota (1975), his M.Div. from Denver Seminary in Colorado (1982), and he has taken courses at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Wheaton College Graduate School.
Marshall serves on the board of the American Tract Society, which since 1835 has published and distributed evangelistic materials, and on the board of Denver Seminary.
Marshall and Susan Shelley have five children (three on earth; two in heaven: Stacey (22), Kelsey (20), Mandy (who died in 1992 at age 2), Toby (a son who died in 1991 shortly after birth), and Bayly (14). The Shelleys live in Wheaton, Illinois, and are active at Parkview Community Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, where Susan is on staff as children’s pastor, and Marshall teaches an adult Bible class.
Avocationally, Marshall can be found playing golf, racquetball, and fantasy football, and rooting for his beloved Denver Broncos.
