Matt Branaugh

He is passionate about equipping and energizing church leaders with the principles and tools that help them more effectively serve the kingdom of God.
Before joining Christianity Today, Matt spent eight years at the Daily Camera in Boulder, Colorado, where he covered business as a reporter and editor and captured six awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Colorado Press Association.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver in journalism and public policy, with a minor in leadership studies.
He attends the Faith Evangelical Covenant Church in Wheaton, Illinois, and has attended Covenant churches most of his life. Through his experiences serving in small-group ministries, drama and worship teams, Vacation Bible School programs, and youth-pastor search committees, he has come to learn the many joys—and challenges—of church leadership. His passion is to help church leaders experience more joys and fewer challenges.
Matt lives in Wheaton with his wife, Sarah, and two great kids. He loves watching movies—especially the “Star Wars” series—playing basketball, managing his fantasy football team, and cheering on the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, and Denver Nuggets.
